Why Do We Videoblog?

we've all asked ourselves why this is so important. this video makes me feel less alone in that i have a buring desire to document and share on a constant basis. i'm so glad there are others!

i love FischerSpooner. their story is really interesting. they're a couple of art school kids from chicago who asked themselves, what better art project is there than to break into the music business from scratch? this video makes me want to get up and dance in my underwear and a turban. the ending is the greatest part, so watch the whole thing, ok? their new album, odyssey, rocks, so go buy it.

this was when chris' girlfriend was still living 6 hours away, he's living in a ranch house in michigan and this is his only outlet. no wonder. sometimes i feel this way too.

Serra as a little, muffin baby

i'm jealous that serra at headsoff has video footage of herself as a child. it's funny to see her back then and compare her to who she is now. this is always fascinating to me.

the cool thing about this video is that it's from a videoblog. the creator of outfoxed is now making a film about "the high cost of low price" at walmart. and he's doing it through a videoblog. smart! (is that the dude from Babe?)

Do You Realize? by The Flaming Lips

one of my all time favorite videos. this was the first version that they made on the cheap. i was so ecstatic when i saw this because it was so simple and used such cheap technology (a dv cam, some after effects). then of course they re-did it all flashy MTV style. bummer. plus the lyrics give me chills every time...such simple truth!
